Olowa of Igbara-Oke (m) with Emirs from Nasarawa State

The Olowa of Igbara-Oke kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede, Ilufemiloye, (Ogidi III) has again congratulated Muslims as they celebrate this year’s Sallah. The monarch, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Ayodeji Owolabi, urged the Muslim faithful to use the significance of the season to pray for the continued peace of our dear Sunshine State and country, Nigeria.
He said this period gives us another opportunity to seek the face of Almighty Allah and to intercede in prayers for our nation to overcome all the challenges confronting us. He further said that as citizens, we should rededicate ourselves to the service of humanity and that of our country, and see the importance of oneness and team work in making a meaningful progress and build a greater Nigeria.
Oba Agbede urged the Muslims to pray for the leaders in the positions of authority, and also for the peaceful conduct of 2019 general election, as it approaches. He therefore urged them to see this season as a season to forgive and love one another, and desist from hate speeches.
